12-Week Training Program

Weeks 1-4: Foundation

  • 30-60min cardio 4x/week
  • Strength training 2x/week
  • 2-3.5hr weekend hikes, 300-600m gain, 3-6kg pack

Weeks 5-8: Intensity

  • 50-60min cardio 5x/week
  • Weighted strength 2x/week
  • 5-6hr hikes, 700-1000m gain, 7-10kg pack

Weeks 9-11: Peak

  • Back-to-back weekend hikes (Sat+Sun)
  • 6-8hrs both days, 1200m+, 10kg pack

Week 12: Taper

  • REST - arrive fresh
