The Lemosho Route is widely considered the most beautiful route on Mount Kilimanjaro. Starting from the western side, the trail crosses lush rainforest, the expansive Shira Plateau, and the dramatic Barranco Valley before reaching the summit. This 7-day itinerary is designed to maximize acclimatization through a gradual ascent and the “climb high, sleep low” principle.
